Salon Policies.

Deposits

Deposits are required to secure a booking at ABH Studio. Online payment is requested at the time of booking or two weeks prior to your appointment.

Cut / Styling: $50.00

Colouring: $75.00

We will send a friendly reminder for outstanding appointment deposits - if payment is not received 3 days prior to the appointment date the booking will be removed.

Cancellation Policy

We have 48 hour cancellation policy in place for all appointments. Bookings may be adjusted, rescheduled or cancelled up until two days prior to your appointment date - these changes can be made via:

Cancellations / no-shows will result in loss of deposit.

If you are feeling unsure exactly which colour services you require + would like to speak to our team for advice - request a call via email + one of our stylists will give you a call back asap!

Salon Phone

Unfortunately we are unable to consistently monitor our salon phone for scheduling - it is only used to call clients when urgent or call-back requests to discuss colour advice.

Please note messages + calls to our salon mobile (+61 411 190 354) will not be answered.

To get in touch please email or reply to your sms confirmation - this ensures efficient communication + avoids any disappointment to our clients due to missed messages / calls.

Confirmation Text

An SMS confirmation-reminder is automatically sent three days before all appointments. Clients are able to confirm, adjust or cancel their booking by replying to this text. (Two-way messaging system)

Once a client receives any SMS - there is a seven day window for messaging before this number is regenerated.

This window restarts every time you receive a text from our salon

Messages sent outside of this time will not be received by our booking system.

Holding Bookings

Unfortunately we are unable to hold / guarantee any ‘currently available’ appointments presented - bookings are only secured once you have received confirmation.

An appointment may be filled from the time it was offered due to a high volume of requests via:

The Space.

An enjoyable, safe experience for everyone.

Children

Our main priority is always safety at the salon - as we are dealing with chemicals + hot tools the space is a child-free zone. This not only ensures everyone within the salon is safe but allows us to focus solely on providing the best service possible for our clients.

This excludes babies within a pram - note we cannot continue services while a baby is held.

Although we adore little beans, many of our clients' count down the days to enjoy some much overdue 'me time' - trusting us to provide moments of peaceful pampering, a chic glamour boost + opportunity to sit in a beautiful space surrounded by adults.

Plus-One’s

To ensure ABH Studio is always a comfortable space with optimal services - clients are unable to bring a friend along to their appointment.

We understand that there are sometimes special circumstances + are happy to make some accomodations.

Please notify us via email if you have a request + we will make something work!

Appointment Duration

We can offer clients an estimated length of appointment -however as everyone’s hair needs are different we cannot guarentee how long your booking will take. Approximate duration list:

Cut + Blowdry: 60 minutes

Signature Styling: 45 minutes - 75 mintes

Tint + Blowdry: 2.5 hours

Highlights + Blowdry: 2.5 - 4 hours

Please leave ample time as some bookings may take longer than others.

Online Quotes

In-line with our approach ‘no two heads of hair are the same’ - our stylists are only able to provide a precise quote once they have seen your hair in person at the salon.

During the consultation with your stylist - they will provide you with a personalised quote before starting your appointment.

Our full service list is available to provide an estimate only.

We recommend sending inspo / reference images via email to give your stylist a better understanding on which services you require.

Walk-ins

Due to availability all of our colour bookings are by appointment only - we do accept walk-in styling bookings however we cannot guarantee there will be a stylist available.

The best way to secure a last-minute booking is via email or our online booking system.

If you can’t see any available bookings - you can add your details to our waiting list and a stylist will give you call or text if they can make something work on the day!

Please provide your date + requested time in the wait-list notes.

Running Late

Unfortunately due to our schedule we cannot guarantee we can complete your full service if you are late to your appointment.

Please allow extra time for travel, traffic + parking as Claremont does get very busy.

If you are running late please notify us via sms - to the number that sent your confirmation text.

There may be a cancellation fee charged if we are unable to complete your service.

The ‘nitty gritty’ extra info

Amy Baines

Unfortunately Amy is currently unable to accept new clients at the present time.

We recommend sending an email detailing your hair currently + what you are wanting to achieve for your desired look.

Amy can recommend our best specialist for you!

Cut-without-Blowdry

We believe finishing off with a style after a new haircut not only completes the service but is important to ensure the haircut is sitting perfectly - allowing your stylist to asses if the cut requires finesse.

We do not offer a seperate cut (without blowdry) price at our salon.

We do not have a seperate ‘Trim’ to Cut and Blowdry price at our salon.

Short-Short Haircuts

Unfortunately we do not specialise in short (above the ear) haircutting at ABH Studio.

For these types of styles we would be happy to recommend another trusted industry professional via email.

Colour Limitations

We do not offer scalp bleaching / white blonde peroxide bleaching.

For our specialised Blonde services we provide foiling + balayage services at ABH studio.

For this type of colouring we would be happy to recommend another trusted industry professional via email.

Extension Colouring

While we await the anticipated introduction of extension services at ABH Studio - we are still offering extension colouring services.

Colouring is quoted on application + will usually be ready for pick-up within two business days from the time of drop-off.

ABH Studio is not responsible / liable in the rare case of any damage to hair.

Re-do Adjustments

Hey these things happen! If you feel like your new hair needs tweaking we will organise a complementary adjustment appointment as soon as possible.

A follow-up email is sent after all bookings which includes our *confidential email address* to ensure all clients feel 100% comfortable communicating their feelings!

We have a cut / colour guarantee within a two week period for complimentary adjustments.

Please note we do not offer refunds at ABH Studio.
